BCHSHA HOCKEY: CATALDI SCORES TWICE, MAINE-ENDWELL RALLIES FROM THREE-GOAL DEFICIT TO BEAT VESTAL (2023-11-13)

Vestal rushed out to an early lead, but Maine-Endwell overcame a three-goal deficit after Noah Cataldi's third-period goal. Cataldi's goal completed the comeback and sealed a 5-4 victory for the Spartans.
Vestal's Jamier Kole opened the scoring with a goal at 15:22 in the first period off an assist from Lucas Laubisch. Moments later, Kishyon Kole doubled the Golden Bears' lead with his goal assisted by Laubisch and J. Kole.
ME found the net at 8:10 in the first after Caleb Aleba scored off an assist from Cooper Fallon. But Laubisch answered with a goal at 1:16 with K. Kole and J. Kole assisting. Vestal took a 3-1 lead into the second period.
The Golden Bears brought the lead to 4-1 after a Jonah Mercia goal assisted by J. Kole at 10:53. Seconds later, the Spartans began a furious rally.
Ashton Walworth found Patrick Tammariello at 10:19, cutting the lead to 4-2. Fallon tallied his lone goal at 8:37 off assists from Caleb Aleba and Tammariello, making the score 4-3.
Noah Cataldi evened things up with 31 seconds left in the second quarter on an unassisted goal.
A 4-4 stalemate lasted until 5:20 in the fourth quarter. Cataldi netted his second goal on a power play, completing the Spartan rally and putting ME up 5-4.
Peyton Dattoria of ME saved 14 of 18 shots on goal while Vestal goalie Hudson Malanoski faced 31 shots on goal and made 26 saves.
